Alumni gathered to meet with Dean James Steinberg and Dan Nelson to celebrate the long and historic relationship of the Maxwell School with the Republic of India.

On Friday May 3rd, the India Habitat Center in the New Delhi witnessed a coming together of Maxwell’s esteemed alumni in India. The event engaged our alumni in a collective policy discussion and also presented an opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues. Dean James Steinberg caught up with Maxwell and Syracuse University Alumni over what turned out to be a delightful Friday evening filled with stimulating conversations, camaraderie and celebratory dinner.

The former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State and current Maxwell Dean, James Steinberg, joined his alumni in New Delhi directly from his trip to Seoul where he was participating in an international conference organized by the ASAN Institute. While in Delhi, Dean Steinberg had an intense two-day schedule packed with high level meetings with Senior India Government Ministers and Leaders to promote further connections to the Maxwell School. His meetings culminated with a reception hosted by the school to celebrate its longstanding and historic connections with India.
